About Us

We have been owners and breeders of German Shorthaired Pointers since 1972.

Breeding, competing, hunting, and playing with our dogs has been a passion, not a business.  Each litter is carefully planned with a continuing goal of excellence and improvement.  We breed for temperament, field ability and soundness of form.

Our puppies are in-home whelped. Each one is handled and socialized from birth They receive one-one-one quality time which helps to make them a well socialized, easily trainable happy   companion/hunting/competition dog.

All dogs used for breeding purposes are AKC Registered, OFA Certified and DNA Typed.

When asked what lines we have we can only say "PALM GLADES”. Over thirty years of selective breeding created a distinct and individual line. Given the opportunity PALM GLADES SHORTHAIRS are national caliber competition dogs and great personal hunting dogs that point, back and retrieve naturally. They are within correct boundaries for the standard.

We  live on 50 acres in Southwest Georgia where we train and enjoy our dogs. We have a combined experience of over 50 years of breeding, raising, hunting, competing and loving our dogs.  We have finished numerous Field Champions and one Dual Champion (DC Palm Glades Sweet Sage)

We are members of the German Shorthair Club of America, the German Shorthair Club of Atlanta and the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of South Georgia.  I (Mark) have also had the pleasure of judging AKC Field Trials and AKC Hunt Tests.
